In the 56th minute, Mbappé broke down the right and squared the ball into the area, but Tchouaméni’s shot was blocked by a defender. In the 63rd minute, Carreras laid the ball off to Arda Güler, who unleashed a powerful strike that flew just over the bar.
In the 68th minute, Argentine youngster Mastantono came on to make his La Liga debut, while Carvajal also returned to action after injury. Four minutes later, Mastantono delivered a corner that found Tchouaméni, but his header sailed over the target.
In the fourth minute of stoppage time, Gonzalo and Bretónes exchanged words before Bretónes brought down Gonzalo García with a reckless challenge, earning a straight red card from the referee.
